Salaries for IT professionals are rising
No doubt Year 2008 was very disappointing for world economy due to dollar fluctuation and mortgage crisis but nothing to do with the IT industry. This could be due this reason that so far IT is untouched with unstable economy. According to computing research association mcpmag.com survery here they noticed 20 percent drop in enrollment of computer science courses…. Thus companies are lacked with skilled employees and offering incentives to them who are already in this industry by way to bumped-up compensation.

However, luck is not with all always that each expert is successful with showing his impact on IT world. So, if some companies are not increasing salaries reason could be this that employees aren’t complaining about it.

Respondents were asked to specify a range for their base salary (bonuses and other compensation not included). Most salaries for 2008 fall between the $55,000 and $89,999 range. Interestingly, the number of respondents claiming six-figure incomes has risen from last year. Mean salary is $71,988
