Hi Sonali,

MCSE Certification consist of 7 Exams in total.

4 Required Exams codes are 70-290,70-291,70-293,70-294 while other 3 exams are Elevtive Exams out of 20-30 Exams.

This is good info, but it’s a few years old now. It’s curious that the “ITIL v3 Master” cert makes the list, since that certification doesn’t yet exist (there is a pilot program for it that started on January 1, and 15 of us are going through the certification process to work out the kinks prior to public release).

In any case, the ITIL v2 Service Manager cert came out on top of the TechRepublic survey for 2009 at $103.9k, which would makes sense based on my own observations. CCDP was #2, ITIL Practitioner was #3 CISSP #4, and the PMP was #5.

All of the top 5 were very close ($103.1k - $103.9k), with a bit of a drop to #6, the at $98.9k.

Hi Mike,

The biggest advantage of this certification will be that it will clearly show that you’re expert in your field. You can tell your clients that you’re IBM certified , this might help you in building trust and will show them that you’re reliable person to deal with.
