ITILv2 Foundations with an average salary of $95,415 will be at 3rd place in this list of highest paying certifications for the year 2010. This certification is for ITIL service support and delivery.

4. CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professionals

CISSP will still occupy 4th place in this list of highest paying IT certifications for 2009 with an average salary of $94,018.

5. CCIE – Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert

With an average yearly salary of $93,500, the Cisco CCIE Routing and Switching certification hold its 5th spot in this of highest paying certifications in this IT industry.

6. CCVP – Cisco Certified Voice Professional

Certified Voice Professional by Cisco with an average salary of $88,824 is at 6th spot in this list of highest paying IT certifications for 2009.

7. ITIL v3 Expert

ITIL v3 Certification - The ITIL Expert  is at 7th position in this list of the highest paying technical certifications with an average annual salary of $86,600.

8. MCSD - Microsoft Certified Solution Developer

MCSD or Microsoft Certified Solution Developer Certification with an average salary of $84,522 puts the MCSD 8th position on this list of highest paying certifications for 2010.

Project Management Professional

I have selected these top IT/ tech certifications after visiting IT certification blogs on internet like certification.about.com, jobsearchtech.about.com etc.

According to latest survey by ZDNET, the certifications below are highest paying tech certifications in technology industry.

Each certification mentioned below with annual salary being paid to individuals responders that hold these certifications. I have also listed training resources to learn more information about how to acquire these highest paying certifications.

1. PMP ( Project Management Professional)

PMP certification is designed to demonstrate strong level of project management and leadership skills. PMP is with an average annual salary of $101,695, this certification is leading the list of highest paying certification of this year.

2. CAPM ( Certified Associate Project Management)

Next highest paying is PMI’s certification known as Certified Associate in Project Management. CAPM certification holders surveyed have an average annual salary of $101,103.

3. ITIL v2 – Foundations
